I noticed a lot of trends: lace, peplum, collared dresses, and colorblocking/ombre in particular.
Here are some looks from the night!
This is Sarah. I bought her dress with her! It's from Love Culture. Her shoes are from Aldo, her left-hand bracelet are from Banana Republic, her necklace is Jenny Boston, and her right hand bracelet is from Forever 21. She was also wearing the most adorable scorpion earrings from Forever 21!
I'm obsessed with her hair, it looks gorgeous. And she is the queen of accessories.
This is Margaret (you've seen her here). Her dress is Lily Rose from Kohls. Her jacket is also from Kohls, from the Candie's line. Her shoes are from Gap and her eye shadow is from Sephora. She bought the dress only a few hours before the cruise...!
Bethany is wearing this dress from Mod Cloth and her shoes are from Guess. I love the pattern of the dress, and the sleeve is darling.
This is my friend Nicole. Her dress is from lulus.com and it's Honey Punch. Her bamboo shoes are from Marshalls, and her earrings are from Forever 21.
Emmajane's dress is gorgeous, front, and especially back. She's also a makeup guru, so her eyes are stunning. More importantly, her dress was from Savers, a Goodwill-type store a few towns over from ours. It's probably the best store in the entire world, and she looks amazing.
This is Emmajane's best friend, and my Psych bud, Julia. I love how casually cool her outfit is without being too informal. Her dress and shoes are from Forever 21 and her jacket was a vintage thrift store purchase ($15!) from Portland, ME. I think this is my favorite look of the night.
Although the main attraction of Nicole's dress is the gorgeous cowl back, the front looks great too. The dress is from Love Culture and her heels are from Marshalls.
This is Nicole's best friend, Anna. Her dress is from tobi.com, her belt is from a store in Newport, her earrings are from Forever 21 and her shoes are from Love Culture. Her dress is extremely flattering, especially with the flowy material paired with a belt.
Ali's dress is from Banana Republic and her shoes are Tory Burch. The pop of colored shoes with a black and white dress is, and will always be, super high fashion.
Steph chose a LBD for the cruise. Her dress are Roxy Ruby from Macy's and her shoes are Unforgettable Moments by Lela Rose from Payless. Her silver bracelet is Na Hoku. The cruise was actually on her birthday! She looks gorgeous, as always.
This is her cat, Meeko!
Haley is fabulous. Her dress is from a boutique in Newport, her shoes from TJMaxx, and her necklace from Franchesca's. The blue and orange look amazing in contrast and her nude shoes keep the outfit from being too overloaded with color.
Katya's wearing peplum, just like I did! Her dress is from BCBG. Her shoes are from CL Laundry.
We can see more peplum on Alyssa. She actually created this look, putting a peplum lace shirt over a black dress (both from Divided, from H&M). Her heels are Chinese Laundrey from Frugal Fannies. I need to keep tabs on her... she knows how to put together an outfit incorporating the trends (in this case, lace and peplum)!
Lauren is sweet and adorable, and her dress is mod and gorgeous. Her dress is from Zara and her shoes are the brand Unlisted.
I'm obsessed with Leah's dress. She embraced the nautical theme and did it well. Her dress is Lilly Pulitzer (from E. A. Davis in Wellesley). Her shoes (not pictured) are Nina from DSW. She's literally the sweetest thing ever and her outfits are always amazing.
Grace's dress is adorable. And the collar just makes it! Her dress is Petticoat Alley from Marshalls, her ballet flats are from Old Navy, and her 70 dernier fishnet tights are from Forever 21. Her outfit, in total, only cost $37! She proves that you can be trendy and adorable without ever going over budget. I'm so jealous.
