Winter
Because it's technically still winter and most of the girls weren't able to go to the Winter Semi, many wore gorgeous winter dresses. (So we're clear, "winter" dresses are black or red velvet, black and white, black, a dark color, or gold/have any of these elements in them.) They were gorgeous!
Sophie's beautiful, especially in this deep blue dress from BCBG and shoes from Nina line sold at Macy's.
Peplum is great in every season! Kristin's wearing this fantastic dress from Tobi, shoes from Payless, and accessories from Jenny Boston. I love silver with dark blue.
Junie's adorable in this dress from Nordstrom's! A big trend at this dance (and for spring) are nude shoes, like Junie's from Target.
Eleni looks super mod in this dress from Express and shoes from Nine West.
Ally's dress is great for winter and spring! The dress is from JCPenny.
I love the color of Jillie's dress. It's from Lord and Taylor's.
I love black, gold, and white together! This dress is so pretty.
This dress has such a great shape and the color's fantastic. I love the shoes too!
Allegra's dress is so awesome, especially the pockets! It's from Jessica McClintock, the shoes are M by Marinelli and the heart pendant is from Delia's.
Anastasia steals the show in this dress from Prom Girl. I love the cutouts! She accessorized perfectly with these gold shoes from Marshall's.
Red was big at this dance. Sarah's wearing a dress from Lulus, accessories from Jenny Boston, and great nude shoes from Payless.
Danielle is a vision in red in this dress. The silver shoes from Zappos look fantastic with the red and compliment the silver waist perfectly.
I love lace and I love red lace! This dress is gorgeous.
The Colors of Spring
Pastels, mint green, and light blues are the colors of spring!
The color of Alex's dress is absolutely stunning. It's from Forever 21 and her earrings are from a boutique in Falmouth on the Cape. Her shoes, which are the Jessica Simpson line at Marshall's, are perfect. I love matching spring colors with nude shoes! Everyone should own a pair.
This is my sister, Kyra. I found this sweet dress for her from Tobi. She's downstairs so I just called her on her cell and she told me that her shoes are Guess (bought from Macy's). Then she hung up. (She later texted apologizing for "sound[ing] mean" and thanked me very much so that's nice.) I also did her hair and makeup so mad props to me:)
Haley was one of the seniors helping out at the dance. She's always on the trends and ahead of the trends and this outfit's no exception. Her dress is from Nasty Gal, her shoes are from Marshall's, and her necklace is from Forever 21. Here you see two trends, one big one that was spotted all over the place at the dance – spring color dress with nude shoes – and another that's just starting to surface – bib necklaces. She's always so fashionable and put together; I'm jealous.
Love the bodice and pretty pastel skirt on this dress! The strappy heels compliment it nicely.
I love the white with pastel on this dress. My favorite part is the crocheted waist. It's so summery!
This is one of my favorite dresses of the night! It's from Love Culture and the mint color paired with the cutouts make it the perfect spring dress. And the black heels from Frugal Fannies are a fantastic complement to the dress.
Hannah's dress from Macy's is more of a bright pastel. It's so soft and pretty and she looks amazing in it. She's following the nude shoe trend with pumps from Marshall's.
Bright
Dresses with eye-catching bright colors.
Cara has the perfect body and this dress from Jessica McClintock accentuates that. Her shoes are from the label Michael Shannon.
Emily's adorable in this dress from Bebe, shoes from Marshall's, and accessories from Frugal Frannies!
Sarah's dress is so eye-catching and sweet at the same time. It's from Delia's and the shoes are from Macy's.
I love this color so much. It's great in pastel and this bright hue.
Steph was another senior helping out. She really pops in this adorable dress from American Eagle.
Caroline's dress is so fun! I love the black blocks on the sides.
I'm obsessed with Emily's dress from Kohl's. It's a gorgeous cut and color and the cutout heart on the back is so adorable. The shoes, from Off Broadway, go perfectly!
White
Spring and summer call for white dresses. They're so beautiful and pure.
I helped Keleigh choose this dress from Urban Outfitters! It's so gorgeous and looks amazing on her. I love the side cutouts and back circle. The red shoes with the white dress looks fantastic. They are from DSW and the necklace is from Charming Charlie's.
I love the detailing on the chest of this pretty dress from Francesca's Collections. It's perfectly matched with flats from DSW and an Alix & Ani bracelet from Edwin's.
This dress is a great mix of party and sweet with the tulle and ruffles matched with the blush color.
Maddie's lace dress is so delicate. It's from Forever 21 and the shoes are Madden Girl from DSW.
I love intricate bustiers like this one, especially tribal patterns! Alison's dress is from Francesca's and her shoes are Franco Sarto from Marshall's. Her pearl studs are from Kay's Jewlers.
This dress is so simple and beautiful. I love how she accessorized with red heels and a big bun. So classy!
Dani is absolutely gorgeous and she looks fantastic in this dress and bracelet from Jessica McClintock and shoes from Aldos.
High-Low Dresses
High-Low dresses work for the Semi and Prom!
Abi is radiant in this ombre high-low dress. People are still talking about how much they love it!
Britt's dress is so pretty. The color's so nice and her updo is fantastic and goes wonderfully with the ruffles on the dress.
Guys
Most guys wore a black suit and tie like Connor, who's so dapper in this suit from H&M, shirt from JoS A Banks and tie from Vineyard Vines.
Kailey's gorgeous in this dress from Urban Outfitters. She accessorized perfectly with mint earrings and shoes from Francesca's and Nordstrom respectively.
I love how Patrick strayed from the black suit route and went more springy in this Ralph Lauren Jacket. This is one of my favorite looks of the night!
So there you have it, the breakdown of trends at the Underclassmen Spring Fling. Coming up soon is a Prom suggestion post! Keep an eye out for it:)
